This garden was created on the downward sloping ground between a 19th century farmhouse and the barn. The idea was to connect the two structures, while creating a sense of enclosure.

   The garden has a relaxed and informal feel, which best reflects the attitudes and lifestyle of its owners. Two requirements were that it had a cool color palette and it needed to be deer resistant.
